2. Booking and Cancellation Policy

Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only after you receive a confirmation message from our team specifying the date and approximate time window for the technician's visit. Confirmation typically occurs within 2 hours of booking.

Rescheduling and Cancellation

If you need to reschedule or cancel a confirmed appointment, you must notify us at least 2 hours before the scheduled visit time. This allows us to optimize our technician schedules and serve other customers efficiently.

3. Inspection and Service Charges

Inspection/Visiting Fee

A non-refundable inspection or visiting charge is applicable for all site visits, which covers the technician's travel and diagnosis time. The specific amount will be communicated at the time of booking and varies based on location and appliance type.

Fee Waiver

This inspection fee may be waived if you agree to proceed with the repair service recommended by the technician on the same visit, making the diagnosis complimentary.

Service Estimate

After diagnosis, the technician will provide a clear estimate detailing:

  • Required repair work and scope
  • Cost of labour and service charges
  • Cost of any spare parts needed
  • Estimated completion time

Work will only commence upon your explicit approval of this estimate. No hidden charges will be applied beyond the approved estimate.

Payment Terms

Full payment for the service (including labour and parts, if any) is due immediately upon the successful completion of the service. We accept:

4. Spare Parts Policy

Genuine Parts Guarantee

Customer-Supplied Parts

We reserve the right to refuse the use of spare parts supplied by the customer to ensure the quality and validity of our service warranty. If a customer insists on using their own parts, the service warranty will be void for that specific repair.

Parts Pricing

Charges for spare parts are additional to the labour charge and will be clearly itemized in the service estimate. Parts prices are competitive and transparent.

5. Service Warranty and Liability

Warranty on Labour

We provide a limited 90-day warranty on the specific repair work and labour performed by our technician. If the exact same issue related to the original repair recurs within this period, we will provide a free follow-up service.

Warranty on Parts

Any spare parts installed will carry a warranty as per the manufacturer's or supplier's terms, typically ranging from 30 to 90 days depending on the part type and brand.

Warranty Exclusions

The service warranty is void if:

  • The appliance is tampered with or serviced by any third party after our repair
  • The issue is caused by misuse, neglect, voltage fluctuation, or pre-existing faults unrelated to the original repair
  • Customer-supplied parts are used against our recommendation
  • Environmental factors beyond our control cause the issue

Limitation of Liability

Home Appliances Services is not responsible or liable for:

  • Any pre-existing defects, damage, or wear and tear in the appliance
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Food loss, data loss, or loss of productivity due to appliance breakdown
  • Service delays due to unforeseen circumstances
  • Damage caused by customer interference post-service

6. Customer Responsibilities

By booking a service, you agree to:

  • Provide Accurate Information: Share complete and accurate details about the appliance, its model, age, and the specific issues you're experiencing
  • Ensure Safe Access: Provide unobstructed and safe access to the appliance and maintain a safe working environment for our technician
  • Utility Availability: Ensure electricity and water connections are available and functional for testing the appliance after service completion
  • Safety Compliance: Keep pets and small children away from the work area for safety reasons
  • Adult Presence: Ensure an adult (18+ years) is present during the service visit
  • Respectful Conduct: Treat our technicians with courtesy and respect

7. Service Areas and Availability

Our services are currently available in select areas. Service availability may vary based on location and technician availability. We reserve the right to decline service requests from areas outside our current coverage zone.

Emergency services may be available for critical repairs with additional charges applicable.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India and the jurisdiction of the courts in Tamilnadu. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably through mutual discussion.
